How it works

One-time upfront alignment

We kickoff new partnerships with a focused alignment process. This includes onboarding mentors, syncing on your architecture, workflow, standards, and direction, defining success metrics, and establishing clear communication channels.

Scoping assignments

We’ll jointly identify tasks that align with your studio’s priorities while providing valuable learning opportunities for students. We follow a pyramid model to minimize risk and communication overhead—starting with small, isolated tasks like bug fixes and simple features, then scaling up to more complex ones such as gameplay, prototyping, and tooling.

Your responsibility during the program

  • Host weekly office hours to provide feedback and answer any questions students may have.

  • Allow students to sit in on relevant meetings to gain valuable insights into your creative process without being disruptive.

  • If you do code reviews, review merge-ready code that's pre-reviewed by us.

We’ll adapt the exact details if necessary, based on your specific needs and situation.

FAQ

How many students will be paired with us?

Depending on the size of your studio and scale of your project, anywhere from 5-50 students may be paired with your studio for each cohort.

How much time will each student be able to contribute?

Each student's time commitment varies, but we expect them to contribute 10–20 hours per week to gain meaningful experience. While we don’t enforce hard limits, our structured approach ensures consistency and impact.

What happens if students struggle or fall behind?

We provide ongoing support to help students, and we expect some to struggle—it’s a natural part of landing your first job, and that's why we're here. Even if only a fraction of students quickly get up to speed, their progress ensures the cohort, in aggregate, contributes meaningfully to your project. This is why we pair more students with each studio, building in tolerance for variability.

What if we don’t want to continue after one cohort?

Participation is cohort-based, so you’re free to step back after one cohort if you choose. We hope to build long-term partnerships, but there’s no obligation.

Who owns the intellectual property created during the program?

All student work becomes part of the studio’s project unless otherwise negotiated upfront.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on your studio's size, project scope, and revenue. We tailor pricing to ensure it fits your needs—reach out, and let's find the right fit for you.

How do you ensure the quality of student work?

Students are guided by our expert mentors, and all their work is pre-reviewed to ensure it meets your standards before being submitted to your team.
